Sickies

So Elden caught a little cold and was having a runny nose Monday and Tuesday afternoon. He started coughing Tuesday afternoon. It turned ugly really quickly and by Tuesday night I knew something was really wrong. Got him to get a little sleep and took him to the ped on Wednesday afternoon.

They diagnosed him with walking pneumonia. We have to go back tomorrow to have him rechecked before the weekend. He's already started on his antibiotic and the inhaler. He seems to be responding pretty well so far. He's not as lethargic as he was yesterday. I went to change his diaper at 11:30 yesterday morning and he just put his head on my shoulder and sighed. It was pathetic. I knew he was really sick, since well, my wiggle worm doesn't ever want to rest.

So unfortunately we are going to miss going to my dads and seeing my brother. Its too bad as that was going to be a really productive visit. It doesn't look like we are going to be able to get back down there soon as I have some stuff planned for the next few weeks. Jason, Elden, and I are going to the beach for a week in September! So exciting! We will take lots of pictures for that and get some of the big boy up soon.

So anyway, Jason is in New Orleans and hopefully Gustav stays away at least until he comes home tomorrow. We miss him terribly. Please keep Elden in your prayers, good thoughts, karma, juju, etc. He can use the positive energy. Thanks!

Ps - so glad that Grandpa Erm and Gran Janny are going to come visit on Sunday since we can't make it out!
