For now, the procedure to put tubes in Elden's ears is on hold. Jason and I have some things to discuss. The 2nd Dr visit went very well, and at the current moment Elden is doing really well. This is not to say that tomorrow his ears won't get fluid again, but at the moment he is clear and . . . .
Big news, he's been talking up a storm! The last week he's really been trying to repeat everything. Elden is not happy with trying small words like dog or cat. He goes for the 2 and 3 syllable words. Butterfly, ballon, other, these are just some of the big boy words E has been mimicing.
This has been so wonderful, really in the last 3 days he's just been a talking fool. Jason and I are really happy to finally get some words. His mama and dadas are great and he even asks for the other of us when one is gone. The other day we called Rita and he kept saying Nai Nai over and over, well of course until we asked him to do it for Nai Nai.
Well, even in all the excitement, the tubes are still something that may happen. This is the "good season" for kids with ear problems, so his recovery may be short lived. There are some other issues we have to consider as well, so Jason and I are still talking it over. We'll keep you guys posted, but for now there is no procedure scheduled.
